RECORDING ATV PROGRAMME
This section explains the basic recording operation.
Basic Recording
Preparation
e Turn-on the VFR.
¢ Select the video channel or video input mode on
the TV.
* Set the VTR/TV
selector to "VTR".

Press the TVNIDEO button so that the "VIDEO"
indicator-appears in the VTR display.

record with the. CHANNEL buttons on the VTR,
or the CH/TRK buttons or number buttons on
the remote controller.
if "L1", "L2" or "SA" is displayed in the VTR
display, press the INPUT SELECT button so
that the position number appears.
Press the SP/LP button to select the recording
' tape speed.

SP:
Suitable for general recording with better
picture-and-sound quality.
LP:
Suitable for doubling recording time, but
with less picture and.sound.quality.than
using the SP tape speed.
Press the REC button on the VTR, or
simultaneously press the iwo REC buttons on
the remote controller.
Recording starts.

Press the STOP button to stop recording.
1) While recording, press the TV/VIDEO button so

in the VTR display.

Note
To monitor the programme which is being recorded, press the
TV/VIDEO button so that the "VIDEO" indicator will appear in
the'VTR display: Seiect the:video channel or'video input

Press the PAUSE/STILL.button to stop recording
momentarily. To resume recording, press the
PAUSE/STILL button again.

Note
The VTR automatically shifts to the stop mode if the
recording pause mode continues for 10 minutes.
While recording, you can set the off time.

Press the REC button on the VTR to set the off time.
Each time you press the button, it changes ie VTR
display as follows:

One-touch Timer Recording

By setting the recording off time, the recording stops
and the VTR is turned off automatically.
Notes
¢ To cancel the one-touch timer recording in progress, press

the STOP button.

* To delay the recording off time, further press the REC

button on the VTR.
¢ 4f the VTR clock is not set, the one-touch timer recording
will not activate.
