RECORDING WITH A CASSETTE DECK
RECORDING WITH VCR/TAPE 1
If the TAPE 2 MONITOR button is ON, press to turn OFF.

Select the source you want to record from with the
input selector buttons.
When recording AM or FM broadcasts, select a preset
station using the multi-jog. If the desired station has not
been preset, tune in the station.
Start recording on the cassette deck.
Play the desired program source (record, compact
disc, etc.)}.
The volume, balance, and tone controls have no effect
on the recording.
VIDEO RECORDING
Select the source you want to record from with the
input selector buttons.
* When recording from a LaserDisc to VCR > LD
Start recording on the VCR.
For VCR, select a line input ( external input ).

1. Select the source you want to record from with the
input selector buttons.
2. Start recording on the TAPE 2 cassette deck.
3. Play the desired program source (record, compact
disc, etc.).
The volume, balance, and tone controls have no effect
on the recording.
- When copying a tape, play back on the TAPE 1/VCR cassette
deck, and record on the TAPE 2 cassette deck.
Tape monitoring
When recording is performed on a cassette deck equipped
with a monitoring function, the recorded sound can be
monitored through the speaker system by pressing the TAPE
2 MONITOR button to ON.
3. Start playback on the component selected with the
input selector.
The volume, balance, and tone controls have no effect
on the recording. |
You can easily perform LD-to-VDR dubbing using GUI. (LD
COPY OPERATION P. 27)
Select the desired mode with the DOLBY PRO-LOGIC
button, SFC MODE
button, and DOLBY 3CH LOGIC
button.
The SFC MODE changes in sequence each time the SFC
MODE button is pressed. (The SFC indicator lights.)

2. Adjust levels to achieve a correct surround sound
reproduction.
This is done using GUI (page 24). For details concerning
how to perform level adjustment, refer to page 28.
