Turn on the TV, and select the channel for
viewing a playback picture (or set the TV/VTR
selector to VTR when a TV has video/audio
input jacks). (O)
1 while pressing the green button, set
POWER to VTR.
Insert a tape.
3 Press [>.
Playback starts.
To view a still picture
Press If during playback.
To resume playback, press Hf or [> again.
To stop —
Press
To rewind the tape
Press <4.
To advance the tape rapidly
Press PP.
Note
Streaks will appear and sound will be muted in the
still picture mode.
Monitoring a High-Speed Picture

In the playback mode, press <q or DR.
The picture will be monitored at high speed
as long as <4 or B® is kept pressed.
2 Release <4 or BP at the desired point.
Normal playback will resume.
During fast-forward or rewind — Skip scan
1 In the fast-forward or rewind mode, press
<4 Or D>.
The picture is monitored as long as << or
Pp is kept pressed.
2 Release <q or BR to resume the normal
fast-forward or rewind mode.
Notes
* If you move the position of POWER during
playback, the tape will stop. When you move
POWER to CAMERA
in the playback pause
mode, however, the camcorder will enter
recording pause mode.
* When the pause mode lasts for 5 minutes or
more, the camcorder will automatically enter the
stop mode.
