Inserting a scene from a VCR - Insert editing
You can insert a new scene fl'om a VCR onto your originally recorded tape by
specif}?ing the insert stalt and end points. Use tile Remote Commander for this
operation. Connections are the same as on page 67 or 69.
Insert a cassette containing the desiled scene to insert into the VCR.

Set the POWER switch to VCR on your comcorder.
On tile connected VCR, locate just before the insert start point [a], then press
| | to set the VCR to the playback pause mode.
On your camcorder, locate the insert end point [¢] by pressing _ or ll,_.
Then press | | to set it to the playback pause mode.
Press ZERO SET MEMORY on the Remote Conlmander. Tile ZERO SET
MEMORY indicator flashes and the end point of the insert is stored ii1
memory. The tape counter shows "0:00:00."
On your camcorder, locate the insert start point [b] by pressing <<, then press
• REC and tile button on its tight simultaneously.
First press | | on tile VCR, and after a few seconds press | | on your camcorder
to start inserting the new scene.
Inserting automatically stops near the zero point on the ta/e counter. Your
camcorder automatically returns to tile recording pause mode.
