ADJUSTMENTS (continuea)
TORQUE LIMITTER ADJUSTMENT
This adjustment shall be performed to prevent the torque limit-
ter intrusion of more than required into the Flywheel when the
unit is set in the fast forward or rewind mode.
1. Supply 6V DC into the Motor Governor P.C.Board to rotate
the Motor. Then, set the unit in the fast forward mode by
pressing the F.FWD button.
2.
Loosen the screw by turning it about 90° counter-clockwise
from the position where the screw is securely tightened as
illustrated.

Slowly turn the adjusting screw counter-clockwise until the
rotation of the Torque Limitter stops while the Flywheel
Support is held in place.
4.
Turn the adjusting screw 180° ~ 200° clockwise from the
above
position and confirm that the clearance of 0.2 ~
0.3mm is obtained between the shaft of the Torque Limitter
and the Idler Adjust Plate as illustrated.

Turn to adjust.
TAPE SPEED ADJUSTMENT
1.
Connect the frequency counter to the headphone jack as il-
lustrated and remove the battery compartment lid.

3,000Hz (+ 3%)

Insert a 3kHz test tape (Example: TEAC MTT-111)
into the
the cassette compartment and play back the test tape.

While playing back the test tape, adjust the tape speed by
turning the potentiometer (P801) on the Motor Governor
P.C.Board until the frequecy counter reads 3,000Hz (+ 3%).

HEAD AZIMUTH ADJUSTMENT
1. Connect the two VTVMs and the dualtrace synchroscope to
the headphone jack as illustrated. Then, set the dualtrace
synchroscope as follows:
