DIAL CORD STRINGING
Mount the Drum on the Radio Chassis as illustrated.
Tie the dial cord of length 800mm (effective length: 770mm)
and diameter $0.3 to the spring and hook the spring to the
illustrated position of the drum.
Engage the dial cord as illustrated in the following order.
Drum — Pulley A — Pulley B — Tuning Shaft (4 turns) —
Pulley C — Pulley D — Pulley E — Pulley F — Drum —
Spring
Hook the dial cord to the spring and tie the cord where the
spring tip extends to the scratch mark as illustrated.
Pointer Start Position

Expand the spring to this scratch mark.
and the knot in the dial cord with paint or glue.
Turn the tuning shaft idly counter-clockwise and confirm
that the pointer is correctly positioned.
