Level
Service Interval: Before each use or daily
The transmission/tank is filled at the factory with Supersyn
5W-40 synthetic engine oil.
Important: Use only Supersyn 5W-40 synthetic engine
oil or equivalent engine oils. Other engine oils could
cause system damage.
1. Place the machine on a level surface.
2. Check the oil level.
If your machine has a sight gauge, check the
transmission-oil level as follows:
Ensure that the oil level is within the viewable area of
the sight gauge.
Note: If the oil level is not within the viewable area,
add or remove oil until the level reaches the middle of
the sight gauge.
If your machine does not have a sight gauge, check the
transmission-oil level as follows:
A. Remove the bolt and nut securing the rear of
the seat plate to the rear frame and tip the seat
forward.
B. Remove the cap from the top of the oil tank
(Figure 20).
The oil level should be approximately 40 mm (1.6
inches) below the top of the flat surface of the
tank. If it is not, add enough oil until the level
reaches the correct level.
