TROUBLESHOOTING
Incorrect operations are often mistaken for trouble and malfunctions. If you think that there is something wrong with this component, check
the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Investigate the other components and electrical appliances being
used.
If the trouble cannot be rectified even after exercising the checks listed below, ask your nearest PIONEER authorized service center or your
dealer to carry out repair work.
1. Dise table is not ejected when
ePlug in power cord.
4 is pressed.
e@Power cord is not properly plugged into AC
wall socket.
e@ Power switch is not turned on.
eTurn on power switch.
eClean disc.
eSet the disc properly.
eRemove disc and let player stand for 1 to 2
hours until it is dry.
Change the disc.
. Disc table comes out.
e Disc is dirty.
e@ The disc is not properly set on the disc table.
e@ Moisture has condensed on parts in the player.
e Disc is warped.
eAim the remote control unit at the projection
monitor or AV amplifier.
e@ The CONTROL IN terminal on the rear panel is
connected to Pioneer projection monitior or
AV amplifier.
e Batteries are weak.
e@There is an obstacle between the player and
the remote control unit.
e@Remote control unit is not in a good location
for transmission.
. Remote control does not work.
e Replace batteries.
e@ Remove the obstacle or shift the remote control
position.
Operate the remote control unit in front of the
player.
. Operation of the remote control
unit causes the TV to operate
improperly.
@Move the TV and the player further apart, or
cover the remote sensor of the TV during disc
playback.
e@Some TV sets have remote control functions
that operate improperly in response to the
remote control unit of the player.
Abnormal functioning of this unit may be caused by static electricity,
or other external interference. To restore normal operation, turn the
power off and then on again, or unplug the AC power cord and then
plug it in again.
