Lamp rating / Lamp replaced
The TV contains a lamp that eventually will
need to be replaced. One hundred hours
before the lamp reaches the end of its life an
on-screen message will alert you that the lamp
is nearing the end of its expected lifetime so
that you can change it before it wears out.
For instructions on how to replace the lamp,
see Annex Care of the set, Replacing the lamp,
p. 25.
After installing a new lamp in the TV, you need
to enter the lamp rating list and select the
alphabetical code that is provided with the
lamp.This will be a letter from A - Z.The letter
represents the lifetime of the lamp. By inputting
the code, you are telling the TV's Lamp Lifetime
Counter the lifetime of the new lamp.
The next step is to tell the TV that you have
installed a new lamp with the lamp replaced
menu item. This control resets the lifetime
counter for the new lamp and begins keeping
track of the lifetime of the new lamp.
