General safety instruction
WARNING: When using power tools, follow the following
basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and personal injury.
Please read all the instructions before working with this tool.
• Observe all safety and hazard warnings affixed to the machine.
• Keep all safety and hazard warnings affixed to the machine complete and in good legible
condition.
• The safety devices on the machine must not be disassembled or rendered unusable.
• Check the mains connecting cables. Do not use defective connecting cables.
• Check the correct function of the two-hand control before using the machine for the first
time.
• The operator must be at least 18 years old. Apprentices must be at least 16 years old;
however, they may only work on the machine if they are supervised.
• Wear work gloves when working.
• Be careful when working with the log splitter: risk of injury to fingers and hands from the
cleaver.
• Use appropriate supports, when cleaving heavy or bulky logs.
• Conversion, adjustment, cleaning, maintenance work and repairs of fault may be carried
out only when the motor is switched off.
Unplug the machine from the mains supply!
• Installation, repair and maintenance work on the electrical system may only be performed
by specialists.
• All protective and safety devices must be immediately replaced after repair and
maintenance work.
• Switch the motor off when leaving the work area.

Additional safety instructions for the log splitter
• The log splitter must only be operated by a single person.
• Wear protective equipment (safety goggles/protective
visor, work gloves, safety shoes) to protect yourself
from possible injuries.
• Never, cleave logs containing nails, wire or other objects.
• Cleaved wood and wood chips create a dangerous work
area. There is a risk of tripping, slipping or falling.
Therefore, always keep your work area tidy.
• Never put your hands on the moving parts of the machine,
when the machine is switched on.
• Only cleave logs with a maximum length of 55 cm.
The minimum length is 30 cm.

• The hydraulic splitter is only suitable for stationary operation. Logs must only be cleaved
vertically in the direction of the grain. The optimal dimensions for the logs to be cleaved are:
