WAKE-UP TIMER
Setting the wake-up timer
Example : When setting from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. (The function
is set to FM 87.50 MHz.)

Before beginning
@ Prepare the function you want to play.
CD _ : Load a disc in the CD player.
Tuner: Tune into the radio station you want to listen to.
That station is registered when the timer is set.
Tape : Load a tape in the cassette player.
(Playback starts on Tape | in the forward (>)
direction)
@ Set volume to the desired level with the volume knob.

1. Switch power ON, and select the desired function.
2. Press the TIMER REC/WAKE-UP button.
"WAKE UP" is displayed.
3. Press the ENTER button.
4. Set the timer start time. First, set the hour using the MULTI
JOG knob, and then press the ENTER button. Set the minutes
in the same way as you set the hour.
5. Set the timer finish time. A finish time one hour later than
the start time is automatically displayed. First, set the hour
using the MULTI JOG knob, and then press the ENTER
TIMER REC button. Set the minutes in the same way as you set the hour.
/WAKE-UP 6. The unit switches to the Check mode, and start/finish times,
the function and the volume level are displayed.
7. Switch power OFF. The unit is now in the STANDBY mode.
8. Press the TIMER REC/WAKE-UP button until the timer
indicator ( ¢) ) lights. The mode then changes to the Check
mode.
Canceling the wake-up timer
After setting or during setting, press the TIMER REC/WAKE-UP
button until the timer indicator (©) goes out.
e@Either Wake-up timer or Timer recording setting is possible,
but not both.
elf you do not cancel the wake-up timer, it will operate at the same
time every day.
@ Slowly fades in music until the set volume level is reached.
e@When you want to change timer settings or when you make a
mistake during setting, repeat setting procedures from the
beginning.
elf you press the TIMER REC/WAKE-UP button during timer
operation, timer operation is canceled.
e Because this unit has a last disc memory (p.18), the wake-up
timer plays the last disc you were listening to before power was
switched OFF.
NOTE:
During Standby, press the DISPLAY/RDS CLOCK ADJ button to
confirm timer settings. Remember that pressing the TIMER REC/
WAKE-UP button changes settings.
