TIMER RECORDING
WAKE UP
@ Powerturns off automatically after the specified time has elapsed.
e Can be operated with the remote control unit.

Eachtime the SLEEP button is pressed, the setting changes in
the following sequence:

NOTE:
!f you press the SLEEP button during Sleep operation, the time
remaining till the power turns off is displayed. Do not press the
SLEEP button when the remaining time is displayed. Otherwise,
the setting changes and the sleep timer cannot function properly.
Timer recording setting
e@ Records an FM or AM broadcast at the set time.
Example : When setting from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
Before beginning
@ Load Tape ll with a cassette tape for recording. (Recording
begins in the forward direction.)
Set the tuner to the station you want to record.
The station you set here is memorized.
@ Volumelevelis

begins.
1. Switch power ON, and select the tuner (FM/AM) function.
2. Press the TIMER REC/WAKE-UP button.
"WAKE UP" is displayed.
3. Turn the MULTI JOG knob to select REC.
4. Press the ENTER button.
5. Set the timer start time. First, set the hour using the MULTI
JOG knob, and then press the ENTER button. Set the minutes
in the same way as you set the hour.
6. Set the timer finish time. A finish time one hour later than
the start time is automatically displayed. First, set the hour
using the MULT! JOG knob, and then press the ENTER
button. Set the minutes in the same way as you set the hour.
7. The unit switches to the Check mode, and start/finish times
and the recorded broadcast station are displayed.
8. Switch power OFF. The unit is now in the STANDBY mode.
9. Press the TIMER
REC/WAKE-UP
button until the timer
indicator (¢@) REC) lights. The mode then changes to the
Check mode.
To cancel:
After setting or during setting, press the TIMER REC/WAKE-UP
button until the timer indicator (@) REC) goes out.
eEither Wake-up timer or Timer recording setting is possible,
but not both.
e After timer recording is performed once, settings are canceled.
eWhen you want to change the timer recording settings or when
you make a mistake during setting, repeat setting procedures
from the beginning.
elf you press the TIMER
REC/WAKE-UP
button during timer
operation, timer operation is canceled.
NOTE:
During Standby, press the DISPLAY/RDS CLOCK ADJ button to
confirm timer settings. Remember that pressing the TIMER
REC/WAKE-UP button changes settings.
AUTO SLEEP
elf you press the SLEEP button during CD play, tape pla yback,
or during recording, and select "AUTO", power is automatically
switched OFF a few minutes after the CD or tape stops playing,
or recording finishes.
elf AUTO
SLEEP
is used
during
relay playback, power
automatically switches OFF after playback of two sides when
only one cassette tape is loaded, and after playback of four
sides when two cassette tapes are loaded.
eYou cannot select AUTO SLEEP during CD REPEAT play.
During CD play: AUTO SLEEP operation changes depending on
the mode as follows.
ALL
: Power automatically switches OFF after ttre 25th
CD finishes playing.
SINGLE
: Power automatically switches OFF afterrhe CD
currently playing finishes.
5 disc access : Power automatically switches OFF afte 5 disc
access mode play finishes.
