Q – How many base stations can be connected to a Rx Series Receiver Multicoupler?
A –
Up to 128.
The RxMux offers RF outputs for up to 8 (or 9) RF outputs. Multiple 8-way Expansion Decks can easily be
added to increase this capacity up to a maximum of 128 channels.
Q – Can the system be expanded?
A –
Yes.
The RxMux system can be easily and conveniently upgraded in the field by adding additional 8way Expansion
Decks as and when required by network capacity expansion on a site-by-site basis.
Q – Which system power supply voltages are catered for?
A – Models are available to cater for +12VDC (+11-16VDC negative ground), 24VDC (18-36VDC floating ground) and
48VDC (36-60VDC floating ground), and 90-264VAC,. The availability of these different models ensures compatibility with
the different Mains, UPS, Solar and other power system types commonly deployed in networks.
Q – Does the Receiver Multicoupler provide alarm outputs?
A –
Yes.
The receiver multicoupler has a separate Alarm connector that provides Form-C dry-contact relay outputs for
connection to an external Site Monitoring system. The CLI also provides alarm status information capability for embedded
and custom software applications.
Q – Are Dual-Receiver systems supported?
A –
Yes.
Systems using multiple independent receive signal paths can be supported using multiple RxMux (and Expansion
Multicouplers if required) units.
Q – Are Diversity Receive systems supported?
A –
Yes.
Systems using multiple independent receive signal paths can be supported using multiple RxMux (and Expansion
Multicouplers if required) units.
Q – Are new features planned?
A –
Yes.
Like other RFI products, there is a robust product development roadmap planned for the RxMux system products.
New features and capabilities will be released to enable system enhancements to be added to a system – continuing to add
value customers. Firmware updates can be easily and conveniently uploaded into the units via the CLI. Please check the
RFI web site on a regular basis for firmware updates and supporting documentation.
