11. Commissioning

It is important that the RxMux unit is commissioned correctly to ensure that the best system performance is achieved.
The gain that can be successfully utilised in a wireless communication's receiver system is determined by the static
and effective site sensitivity values.
Note: Setting an RxMux's gain to too high a value can actually degrade overall system performance at a
communications site. "Increasing the gain" does not automatically guarantee a site's (or system's) improved
performance.
An appropriate commissioning process that is designed to standardize the testing and performance evaluation of
these systems, and which includes nominating the values that attenuators in the RxMux should be configured to,
should be followed.
