Setting the Output Level
An
OUTPUT
control
has
been
supplied
on
this deck
to match
the
deck's
output
level
to
the outputs
from
other sources
such as your
tuner or turntable, etc. Please adjust as follows:
1.
Set the Input selector on the external amplifier to Tuner,the Monitor
selector to Source and listen to an FM broadcast.
2. Adjust the amplifier's volume for normal listening.
3.
Record as much
of the FM broadcast as required on to this deck.
CUE/REVIEW Operation
Use
the CUE/REVIEW
lever to find the beginning of a song during
playback.

Press down the CUE/REVIEW lever.
If the tape is travelling in the forward direction ( ™ indicator is lit):
Press the Fast Forward
(™)
button. The deck will advance and
at the same
time playback the tape quickly in the direction of
the arrows (>
} .
Press the Rewind
( «4
) button. The deck will advance and at
the same time playback the tape quickly in the direction of the
arrows ( «ea ).
lf the tape is travelling in the reverse direction ( «¢ indicator is lit):

. Set the
Monitor
selector
on
the external
amplifier to Tape and
listen to the playback.
Compare
the volume
of the recording with the FM broadcast and
: alter the deck's OUTPUT
control until they are the same.
Press the Fast Forward
( ™®
) button.
The deck will advance
and at the same time playback the tape quickly in the direction
of the arrows ( >),
Press the Rewind ( «4
) button. The deck will advance and at
the same time playback the tape quickly in the direction of the
arrows ( <<
),
. When
the desired
section
is reached,
press the Stop
( a)
button.
. To
resume
playback,
push
in the CUE/REVIEW
lever to release
the operation.
5. Press the Forward ( ™ ) or Reverse ( «
) button.
