<CD SECTION>
Caution:
lt is very dangerous to look at or touch the laser beam. (Laser radiation is invisible.)
With the unit turned "on", laser radiation is emitted from the pickup lens.
Avoid exposure to the laser beam, especially when performing adjustments.
@ PREPARATION
1. Remove the CD UNIT by following the disassembly instructions in Ref. No. 6 in REMOVAL OF THE CD UNIT.
2. Remove the disc holder by following the disassembly instructions in Ref. No. 18 in REMOVAL OF THE DISC HOLDER.

Rotating VR704 more than necessary stops the rotation of the turntable
during focus gain adjustment. In this case, set the VR to its initial position and
then resume the adjustment procedure. If you cannot determine the initial
position, search for the position where the VR starts rotating by turning the VR
slowly clockwise or counterclockwise from the mechanical center (arrows in
the left figure) and then resume the adjustment procedure.
