6. Preparation Instructions

Important: Read and understand all the safety
instructions listed in this manual before making any
adjustments to this product. ALWAYS ensure that the
drill is switched off and disconnected from mains power
before making any adjustments to the tool.

6.1 Positioning the Auxiliary Handle

WARNING! NEVER operate the drill without the
auxiliary handle installed.
To adjust the position of the auxiliary handle (1), twist the
auxiliary handle grip anticlockwise to loosen the clamp.
Rotate the handle to the desired position and twist it
clockwise to secure it.
1. To remove the auxiliary handle:
a. Twist the auxiliary handle grip (1) anticlockwise
until it detaches from the bolt.

b. Slide the lower bracket (10) and washers off the
bolt.

c. Manoeuvre the locking bar (11) out of the
U-bracket (12) and remove the U-bracket from the
tool shaft.

2. To install the auxiliary handle:
a. Slide the U-bracket onto the tool shaft and insert
the locking bar.
Important: Pass the bolt through the locking bar
before inserting it into the U-bracket.
b. Place the lower bracket onto the bolt so that the
curved edges are seated against the tool shaft.
c. Place the two washers onto the bolt and twist the
auxiliary handle clockwise onto the bolt.
d. Position the auxiliary handle as required and
tighten it securely.

Important: The auxiliary handle should ONLY be
removed for maintenance purposes. ALWAYS ensure
that the handle is installed before connecting the drill
to the power supply.
