NDC – Near Field Data Capture module
Product description
Universal radio module NDC LoRa / wM-Bus
(each with 3 m connection cable and NFC coupler to
fasten the NDC coupler to the NFC interface of the
water meter)
Intended use / purpose
Readout of consumption data and water meter
status information from ZENNER ultrasonic water
meters, Series IUW / IUWS and transmission of this
information by radio to suitable receiver or receiving
systems. The module is used in the area of water
management and consumption billing. Users are
usually water utilities and service providers in the
area of consumption billing, energy monitoring, etc.
Operational safety is only guaranteed if the device
is used as intended, according to the manufacturer.
No liability is accepted for damage caused by other
uses. Any modification is only permitted with the
approval of the manufacturer. Otherwise the
manufacturer's declaration will become void.
Water meters of the IUW series can only be read
using the NDC module, as they do not have an
internal radio module. Water meters of the IUWS
series include an integrated radio module.
Connecting an NDC module as an external radio
module is possible as an option, in order to optimise
the range during radio readout at challenging
installation points.
When an NDC radio module is connected to an IUWS,
the internal radio module in the IUWS switches off.
