Conical universal adapter (Fig. 6-7)
Area of application: The universal adapter can
be used for infl ating airbeds and other similar
items.
To switch the equipment on, press the "ON"
(7) button.
The unit selected for measuring will be shown
on the display. To change the display mode,
press the "FUNC" button (5).
The equipment will switch off the display au-
tomatically after approx. 60 seconds.
To inflate a tire, connect the adapter (9) to the
tire valve. To raise the tire pressure, squeeze
the lever (2). To reduce the tire pressure,
press the button (3). The tire pressure can be
read off the display (6).
Warning! Observe the information supplied by
the tire manufacturer and the vehicle manufactu-
rer relating to the recommended tire pressure.
Warning! This equipment is not calibrated! For a
calibrated measurement value, check the actual
tire pressure using a calibrated meter after you
have infl ated the tires yourself, e.g. at a petrol
station.

7. Changing the batteries

(Fig. 10-11)
Pull the plastic cap (4) off the display housing
and undo the screws in the battery holders (z)
using a screwdriver. Pull out the batteries (10)
which are positioned sideways together with
the battery holders (z) and insert new batte-
ries. Refer to the technical data for the battery
type. These are available from your dealer.
Screw the battery holders (z) tightly in place
with the screws.
Then fit the plastic cap over the display
housing again.

8. Cleaning, maintenance and
ordering of spare parts
8.1 Cleaning
We recommend that you clean the appliance
immediately after you use it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these could at-
tack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensu-
re that no water can seep into the device. The
ingress of water into an electric tool increases
the risk of an electric shock.
8.2 Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which
require additional maintenance.
8.3 Ordering replacement parts:

9. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to pre-
vent it from being damaged in transit. The raw
materials in this packaging can be reused or
recycled. The equipment and its accessories are
made of various types of material, such as metal
and plastic. Never place defective equipment in
your household refuse. The equipment should
be taken to a suitable collection center for proper
disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of
such a collection point, you should ask in your
local council offi ces.
Battery disposal
Batteries contain materials that are potentially
harmful to the environment. Never place batteries
in your household refuse, in fi re or in water. Batte-
ries should be collected, recycled or disposed of
by environment-friendly means.
