Set tbe remote mode using the USE MODE
button and the remole mode buttons.
Selecting the command mode
You can switch the command mode (AVI or
AV2) of the remote. If the commond mode of
the receiver _md the remote is different, you
cannot use the remo_e to operate the receiver.
Press 1 (AV1) (or 2 (AV2)) while pressing
down USE MODE.
The indicator lights once (twice for AV2), tben
the comm_md mode switches.
Setting to the 2nd room mode.
(RM-PG411 only)
You c_ use the remote to select the function
for the 2rid room (2rid room mode). You can
use the function buttons only for the 2rid room.
Press 2ND while pressing down USE
MODE (RM-PG411 only).
The indic,_tor lights _r a wlfile, then the mode
switcbes to the 2rid room mode.
Tips (RM-PG411 only)
• If you press a function but!on while pressing down
SOURCE, you can select the function for the 2nd
room even though the mode is not sel _o the 2nd
room r[lode.
• If you press SOURCE only, you can output the
source signal of the current function of the receiver
to the amplifier hi the 2nd room.
To check the mode of the remote
Press USE MODE. You can check the remote
by the indicator.

To reset the remote to factory
settings
Press I/(_, AV I/(_), and MASTER VOL - at
the same time.
The indicator lights 3 times, then goes off.
You can program the remote to control non-
Sony components by changing the code. Once
the control signals have been memorized, you
can use those components as p_ of your
system.
Furthermore, you can Mso program the remote
lbr Sony components that tbe remote is um_ble
to control. Note that tbe remote can only
control components theft accept infrared
wireless control signals.
