Selecting a Page
All of the information needed to operate the eTrex
Summit is found on five main "pages" (or display
screens). These pages are the Satellite, Map, Pointer,
Elevation and Menu.
Simply press the PAGE Button to switch between pages.

Satellite

Satellite Page Basics

The Satellite Page shows you in animation, the eTrex
Summit gathering the necessary satellite information in
order to work. It also shows you when the satellite
signals are weak or when you need to move to a
different location for better reception. The shorter the
signal strength bar, the weaker the signals. At the top of
the page the unit displays a message letting you know
the status of the receiver. The eTrex Summit displays
the message 'Ready to Navigate' when the receiver has
gathered information from at least three satellites.
