Introduction
NOTE:
AUDIO
mode
In the AUDIO
mode
the TAPE
function
keys can be preset for DECK | or DECK 11.
After the keys have been preset for one
deck, the switch can be moved to the other
side, and the keys can then be preset for
the other deck. In any other position these
keys function in the same way as a Pioneer
unified remote control unit. (A maximum of
82 keys can be prograrnmed)
VIDEO
mode
LEARNING KEYS
can be learned. (They can be changed.)
When you first use the remote control unit, in the AUDIO and VIDEO
code.
If your
audio
and
video
equipment
consists
of
Pioneer
components, the remote control unit can be used as it is. If you wish
to program functions which do not already exist in the memory, use
commands after programming other commands.
(Refer to 'Returning
to the Initial Settings'' for this procedure.)
° In each mode, one function per key can be programmed.
¢ When presetting keys, make sure that the remote control units of both
this and the other component are loaded with fresh batteries.
* Programming may be impossible from some special types of infrared
remote control units.

When teaching functions with names that differ from those of the
keys, write in the names or codes of the functions on the included
templates and place on the panel.
