TURNING ON THE POWER
@ Operation indicated by the [[]] mark are performed
with the remote control unit.
@ Read "CONNECTIONS" again and ensure that speak-
ers, antenna, etc., are connected properly.
Press the POWER switch.
To switch the power OFF:
Press the POWER switch again.
The clock display disappears and the STANDBY indica-
tor tights.
To Adjust the Sound Volume
Press the VOLUME button as desired.
Press the "V" side to reduce the sound volume, and
press the "A" side to increase the sound volume. Hold
the button depressed for to change the sound volume
more quickly.
Perform any of the following operations while the sys-
tem power is off (STANDBY) turns the power ON.
Pressing TAPE function button:
If a cassette is loaded, playback will begin.
Pressing the AUX/CDIl button:
If the component connected to the AUX/CDII jacks is
properly loaded, playback will begin.
Pressing the tuner (FM/AM) function button:
AM or FM radio broadcasts will be received.
Pressing the CD function button:
If a CD is loaded, playback will begin.
When a CD is placed in the disc insert slot, the disc will
be loaded and playback will begin (XR-Q150 only).
Pressing the PLAY/PAUSE button on the file-type CD
player section will also cause playback to begin, if a
disc is loaded. (PD-Q.160F only)
Pressing the START button:
The function selected before the power was previously
turned off will automatically begin playback.
Pressing the CD 4 button (XR-Q150 only):
If a disc is loaded, it will be ejected, and the power will
turn off again.
If the ejected disc is not removed by the user within a
few seconds, it will be automatically reloaded and play-
back will begin.
