Removing the HDD Card from a Personal Computer
For more information concerning removal from a personal computer, consult the owner's
manual of the computer.
I For Windows 98 or Windows 98 Second Edition
1 On the taskbar, click the PC Card (PCMCIA) status icon.
2 Click the message box that indicates to quit TOSHIBA PC Card Hard Disk.
3 After a message appears indicating that the device can now be safely
removed, click "OK", then remove the HDD Card from the personal com-
puter.
I For Windows Millennium Edition
1 On the taskbar, click the Remove Hardware icon.
2 Click the message box that indicates to quit drive of TOSHIBA PC Card
Hard Disk.
3 After a message appears indicating that the TOSHIBA HDD Card can now be
safely removed, click "OK", then remove the HDD Card from the personal
computer.
I For Windows 2000 Professional
1 On the task bar, click the Remove Hardware icon.
2 Click the message box that indicates to quit PCMCIA IDE/ATAPI controller.
3 After a message appears indicating that the PCMCIA IDE/ATAPI controller
can now be safely removed, click "OK", then remove the HDD Card from the
personal computer.
I For Windows XP Home Edition, Windows XP Professional
1 Click the Safely Remove Hardware icon.
2 Click the message box that indicates to safely remove PCMCIA IDE/ATAPI
controller.
3 After a message appears indicating that the PCMCIA IDE/ATAPI controller
can now be safely removed, click the message, then remove the HDD Card
from the personal computer.
