Connecting the HDD Card to a Personal Computer (Continued)
I For Windows 98 or Windows 98 Second Edition
1 Insert the HDD Card into the PC card slot on a personal computer. The HDD
Card is automatically detected and the "Add New Hardware Wizard" window
appears.
2 Click "Next".
3 Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive on the computer.
4 Check the message box that is displayed to search for the optimum driver
for the device currently being used, then click "Next".
5 Check the message box that is displayed to designate the search area,
select the "PC Card HDD Re-Partition Utility" folder on the CD-ROM in the
Reference field, then click "Next."
6 Check the message box that is displayed to use updated driver for
TOSHIBA PC Card Hard Disk, then click "Next".
The windows will then display a message indicating that the TOSHIBA PC Card Hard Disk
driver files are being searched for.
7 Click "Next".
The window will then display a message indicating that the software required for the new
hardware device has been installed.
8 Click "Finish".
9 If the menu screen of the supplied CD-ROM is displayed, click "Exit."
I For Windows Millennium Edition
1 Insert the HDD Card Into the PC card slot on a personal computer. The HDD
Card is automatically detected and the "Add New Hardware Wizard" window
appears.
2 Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive on the computer.
3 Software installation is then executed.
The window will then display a message indicating that the software required for the new
hardware device has been installed.
4 Click "Finish".
I For Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Home Edition, or Windows XP
Professional
1 Insert the HDD Card to the PC card slot on a personal computer.
2 The HDD Card is automatically detected and the driver is automatically
installed.
