    About the AC Adapter Be sure to use only the supplied AC adapter. Using a different AC adapter may cause the player to malfunction, heat up or catch fire. Before using the AC adapter, carefully read and observe the Safety Instructions ( 3) and the notes below: Do not allow the connectors on the AC adapter to contact any other metal object as this might cause a short circuit.

    Overview of the Player The MEG50AS is a portable audio player that plays back audio data transferred to the HDD Card. The supplied “TOSHIBA Audio Application” software is provided to transfer audio data to the HDD Card. For audio data transfer and the TOSHIBA Audio Application, consult the owner’s manual for MOBILPHILE Application Software.

    Replace with a new battery. For replacement of the built-in battery, ask the store of purchase. Insert the HDD Card. Transfer audio data using the TOSHIBA Audio Application. Check the headphones, wired remote control, and player connections. Adjust the volume.

    Removing the Built-in Battery Remove the built-in battery from the player when discarding the player. ( Danger Do not drive a nail into the built-in battery, hammer it, or step on it. Electrode shorting may result in the battery to heating up, rupturing, or igniting. Do not connect the battery electrodes (plus and minus terminals) with any metal such as wire.
