HOOD PROTECTOR

Thank you for purchasing a form fit hood protector.

Care Instructions

Clean the protector with a mild soap and water solution or plastic cleaner only.
Periodically check to make sure all the hardware is in place and the protector is secure.

Attention!

Do not use chemicals or solvents. Avoid using automatic car washes. Do not pull on the
protector when opening or closing the hood.

Installation Instruction

1. Be sure that the hood is clean and dry inside and out. Open the hood of the vehicle.
Center the protector on the hood. The four (4) holes in the mounting tab of the protector will

align with the holes on the underside of the hood. Push a plastic expansion plug through each
of the holes in the protector and into the corresponding holes in the hood. See Illustration # 1.
3. It will be necessary to hold the expansion plug in the hole with your thumb while, inserting and
tightening the #10 x ½'' screw.
Peel and fold the anti-abrasion film pads in half over the leading edge of the hood underneath

Push a "C" clip over each of the anti-abrasion film pads on the edge of the hood. Tighten a # 6

x 3/8" screw through the protector and into each of the clips – Note: The screws will tighten
quickly – do not over tighten. See Illustration # 2.
Make sure the "C" clips are all fully seated and the protector is centred then tighten a # 4 x
6.
3/16" screw into the bottom of each of the "C" clips. Do not over tighten the screws. See
Illustration # 2.
7. On some vehicles it may be necessary to adjust hood bumpers and/or latch for proper
clearance.
Note: Do not pull on the protector when opening or closing the hood.
