Enabling audio from an external device (AUX) to be heard
You can connect external devices such as portable music playback devices, VTRs, and
navigation units to this unit and listen to their audio. You can also enter and display the external
device name.
To connect external devices
There are three ways to connect external devices: ÿ ÿÿ
When using
the included AUX cable or commercially available mini
plug (AUX1) ÿÿWhen using the
separately sold RCA/IP-BUS interface connector (AUX2)
ÿÿWhen using IP-BUS When used
(AUX2)
(When connecting Pioneer products with IP-BUS
output, such as Pioneer navigation units)
Note
• AUX2 can be used with either connection
method ÿ or ÿ. (Both connection methods
cannot be used at the same time.)
ÿ When using the included AUX cable or commercially
available mini
plug Connect to the AUX input terminal (3.5mm) on the
front of the main unit. In this case, the connected device
will be recognized as an AUX1 source.
ÿ When using the separately sold RCA/IP-BUS interconnector
If the external
device to be connected has an RCA output, use the
separately sold RCA/IP-BUS interconnector.
Connect to the IP-BUS input terminal of this unit using
"CD-RB10" or "CD-RB20". The connected external device
will be recognized as an AUX2 source. For details, see
the RCA/IP-BUS interconnector manual.

unit, etc.) Connect to the IP-BUS input of this unit
using a separately sold IP-BUS cable (e.g. "CD-IP600").
