Usingthe oven.

Toavoid possible bums, place the racks in the desired position before you turn the oven on.
The oven has 5 rack positions.
It also has a special low rack
position (R)for extra large items,
such as a large turkey.
Before You Begin...
The iacks have smpqocks, so fllat when
placed correctly on file rack supports
(A through E), they will stop before
coming completely out, and will not tilt.
When placing
and removing
cookware,
pull flae rock out to flae bump
on flae
rack support.
Toremovea rack, pull it toward you,
tilt file flont end up and pull it out.
Toreplace,place file end of file rack
(smI>locks) on file support, tilt up file
flont and push the rock in.
NOTE:Therackisnot designed to slideoutat the
specialbw rack(R) p osition.
Oven Control
Your oven is controlled by a single OVEN
CONTROt knob.
It Mll normally rake 30-90 seconds before
file fl_une comes on. Atker file oven reaches
the selecmd mmperamre,
the oven burner
cycles--<fff completely, then on wkh a
dill flame--m
maintain the selecmd
mmpemture.
Plastic items on the cooktop may
melt if left too close to the vent.
Vent appearance and location vary:
Oven Vent
Your oven is vented through ducts at the
_,
rear of the range. Do not block these ducts
when cooking in the oven--it is important
that the flow of hot air flom the oven
and flesh air m the oven burner be
uninterrupmd.
Avoid touching the vent
openings or nearby surfaces during oven or
broiler operation--they
may become hot.
Handles ofpots andpanson thecooktop may
become hotif left toocloseto thevent.
Donot leaveplasticor flammable itemson the
co&top theymaymeltor igniteif left tooclose
to thevent.
Donot leaveclosed contaberson thecooktop.
The pressure b closedcontabers maybcrease,
whichmaycausethemto burst.
Metal itemswifl become veryhotif theyareleft
on theco&top,andcouldcause burns.
Power Outage (electric ignition models)
CAUTION: D o n ot make any
attempttooperatetheelectricignitionovenduring
an electrical p owerfailure.
The oven or broiler
cmmot
be lit during
a power failure.
Gas will not flow unless
the glow bar is hot.
ff the oven is in use when a power failure
occurs, the oven burner shuts off and
cmmot be redit until power is restored. This
is because the flow of gas is automatically
stopped and will not resume when power
is restored until the glow bar has reached
operating mmpemmre.
Oven Light (on some models)
Use the switch on the lower controlpanelto
turn file light on or off:
