5. Chemical Resistance

5.1. Plastic Casing

The frame and casing material is plastic (PC+ABS). This material withstands exposure to the following
chemicals without visible change:
Acetic acid 10%
Baysilon®M300
Citric acid 10%
Cleaning agent, Dor®
Curd soap solution 2%
Hydrochloric acid 20%
Hydrogen superoxide 30%
Lactic acid 10%
The material shows limited resistance to the following chemicals at room temperature:
Cleaner's naphtha, free from aromatic hydrocarbons
Ethyl alcohol 96%
Glycerin
Glycol
The material shows little or no resistance to the following chemicals at room temperature:
Acetone
Ammonia solution, diluted
Aniline
Aromatic hydrocarbons
Benzene
Bromin
Butter
Chlorine
Diethyl ether
Iodine
Lard

5.2. Touch Screen and Overlay Material

5.2.1. Protective Film

The Autoflex protective film covers the overlay surrounding the screen.
Solvent Resistance
The protective film withstands exposure of more than 24 hours duration under DIN 42115 Part 2 to
the following chemicals without visible change:

Phosphoric acid 30%
Seawater
Sodium hypochlorite
Sodium thiosulphate
Sulphuric acid 30%
Urea
Heating oil
