2.5. 7 Disk Cartridge Handling and Care
Extreme care should be used when handling, loading, or unloading the disk cartridge. The following list is
a summary of RL02K cartridge care and cleaning considerations.
When handling cartridges:
Keep cartridges clean.
Use cartridges at computer room temperature only.
Handle cartridges only by the top cover handle.
2.6 R80, RASO, RA81 AND RA60 DISK DRIVES
The RSO, RASO and RAS l are self-contained, non-removable media disk drives. The RA60 drive is a
removable-media disk drive. All operator controls and indicators for these disk drives are located on the
front panel of the drive unit. Since the controls and indicators for these disk drives have similar operational
functions, they will be presented together in this section.
Figures 2-1 S and 2-19 show the control panels for the disk drives. Five of the indicators are combination
indicators and alternating-action push-button switches. When pushed inward to the ON state, they stay in
that position until pushed and released to the OFF state.
