5. Before first use
Before using the hot air fryer for the first time, clean all components as
described in the section Cleaning and care.
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
Hot air flows out of the ventilation slits 0 on the back of the appliance.
Never cover the ventilation slits 0.
Do not place the appliance directly under wall units, wall sockets or
near curtains, paper or easily inflammable materials.
Make sure to leave enough free space around the appliance so that
the air can circulate well.
1) Place the appliance on a horizontal, level, stable and heat-resistant
surface.
Note:
extraction hood, make sure that the cooker is switched off.
2) Plug the mains plug into a mains wall socket. Ensure that the mains
socket is always within easy reach while the appliance is in opera-
tion.
3) Push the frying pot 7 with the frying insert 5 inserted into the
appliance.
4) Turn the temperature control 3 to 200°C.
5) Set the timer 4 to 10–15 minutes.
The appliance starts to heat up and the operating light 1 lights up.
Note: During first use, you may notice a small amount of smoke and
a slight odour. This is due to production residue. This is completely
normal and harmless. Ensure sufficient ventilation; for example, by
opening a window.
6) Allow the appliance to heat up until the end of the set time so that
the heating element burns in.
At the end of the set time, the appliance will switch itself off automat-
ically.
7) Disconnect the plug and allow the appliance to cool down.
8) Clean the frying pot 7 and the frying insert 5 again.
The appliance is now ready for use.
