Troubleshooting (Mast)
Possible Problem
Is cable caught in mast?
Is end of wire rope disconnected from winch? Connect wire rope to winch.
Does surface of mast not slide smoothly?
Is winch handle being turned in the wrong
direction?
Is winch latch defective?
Is dram shaft loose?
Does surface of mast not slide smoothly?
Is brake disk of winch held tight?
Is safety stopper not working correctly?
TROUBLESHOOTING
Solution
Set cable free.
Apply grease to sliding surface of mast.
Operate correctly.
Replace part if not functioning properly.
Tighten dram shaft and check its
operation.
Apply grease to sliding surface of mast.
Holding winch handle securely, remove the
latch and lower mast slowly (Repair).
Winch up mast a little and lower mast by
putting a load on it (Repair).
