CONVECTION
You'll find a convection oven in most bakeries, restaurants and other institutional kitchens, because professional cooks
have long known that this method assures the best results in preparing so many types of foods.
NOTE:
1) Forinformation on cooking utensils see Introduction section of Convection/Combination cookbook and page
23 of this manual.
2) If during cooking you want to check the oven temperature you selected, touch Oven Temp Pad. Espey
shows the temperature as long as you hold your finger on the pad.
PREHEATING
Preheat when indicated in recipes.
Preheat only with Convection Cooking. It is not applicable to Microwave or Combination Cooking. Where indicated,
preheat using only the CONVECTION setting.
Example:
To preheat on 300°F for 10 minutes;
Step 1. Touch Oven Temp Pad for 300°F.
Step 2. Set 10 minutes by tapping Time Select Pad.
Step 3. Touch Start Pad.
——When time has elapsed oven beeps five times and automatically shuts off.
Note: 1) Oven may be preheated with or without the Glass Ceramic Tray in place.
2) Formore detailed information on when to preheat, refer to your Panasonic Convection/Combination
Cookbook.
TIME COOKING
Step 1. Select oven temperature by pressing continuously or tapping Oven Temp Pad.
—Clock time disappears. Convection indicator hon turns on. Selected oven temperature appears in display
window.
Step 2. Set cooking time by tapping Time Select Pads.
—Previously selected oven temperature disappears. Cooking time appears in display window.
Step 3. Touch Start Pad.
—Oven light turns on. Convection cooking begins and Convection indicator light: begins to blink. Turntable
begins to rotate.
Cooking time counts down.
Note:
1) When selected cooking time is less than one hour, time counts down second by second.
2) When selected cooking time is over one hour, time counts down minute by minute until only
"59 00" (59 minutes) remain. Display then indicates minutes and seconds and counts down
second by second.
—When cooking is completed, oven beeps five times and shuts off automatically. Turntable stops. Convection
indicator light and oven light turn off. Time of day appears in display window.
