Head protection
When there is a risk of falling objects or hitting your head on protruding or low-level obstacles, a
hard hat (helmet) should be worn.
Do not abuse the power cord
Never yank or pull on the power cord to unplug it from the outlet. Never carry the power tool by its
power cord. Keep the power cord away from heat, oil, solvents and sharp edges. If the power cord is
damaged, have it replaced by an authorized service center.
Do not stretch
Do not stretch, keep proper footing and maintain your balance at all times.
Maintain the tool with care
Follow the instructions for lubrication and changing parts. Check the tool's power cord regularly and
if damaged, have it replaced by an authorised workshop. Inspect the extension cords regularly and if
damaged, replace them. Keep handles dry, clean and free of oil and grease. Ensure that the
ventilation slots are kept clean and free from dust at all times. Overheating and engine damage may
occur if the ventilation slots become blocked.
Disconnect the power tools
Make sure that power tools are disconnected from the power supply when not in use, before
maintenance, lubrication or adjustments are carried out and when changing parts.
Remove adjustment wrenches
Avoid unintentional starting
Make sure the switch is in the OFF position before connecting the power tool to the power supply.
Extension cords and reels
The appliance should be supplied via a residual current device (RCD) with a tripping current of not
more than 30 mA. When the power tool is to be used outdoors, use only extension cords intended
for outdoor use. Always unwind all extension cords fully. For extension cords up to 15 metres, use a
wire cross-section of 1.5 mm

. For extension cords longer than 15 metres but less than 40 metres,
use a wire cross-section of 2.5 mm
. Always replace the extension cord if it has been damaged

before using the tool. Protect the extension cord from sharp objects, excessive heat and liquids or
damp or wet locations.
Stay alert
Watch what you are doing, use common sense and do not operate the power tool if you are tired, if
you are taking medication that causes drowsiness or if you are under the influence of alcohol.
Check for damaged parts
Before using power tools, you should carefully check the tool to ensure that it will work properly and
perform its intended function. Ensure that the moving parts are properly aligned and that there is no
binding. Check for broken or missing parts and replace them or take them to an authorized service
center for repair. Any part of the power tool that is damaged must be repaired or replaced by an
authorized service center. Any switch that does not function properly must be replaced by an
authorized service center. Do not use the power tool if the ON/OFF switch does not turn the power
tool on and off.
