7. Flip the service switches to boot mode (switch 1 set to ON; switch 2 set to OFF).

8. Attach the prepared USB flash drive to one of the USB connectors on the imagePASS (see
NOTE:
If dust covers are attached to the USB connectors, remove one dust cover using needlenose pliers.
9. Power on the imagePASS by pressing the power switch to set ON (|), and then power on the printer using the main power
switch on the front.
Make sure that the imagePASS turns on.
10. Check the LED display for the file transfer activity. After confirming the LED activity starts and the LED display shows the
cyclic codes (C1 > C2 > C3 > C1...), turn off the printer using the main power switch on the front.
11. Wait while the files are transferred.
The file transfer can take from 5 to 15 minutes depending on the USB flash drive.
The LED on the flash drive shows sporadic activity during this time. After the imagePASS LED display shows the cyclic codes
(C1 > C2 > C3 > C1...), it eventually settles on 00. When all of the files have been transferred, the imagePASS automatically
shuts down.
12. Remove the USB flash drive from the imagePASS.
13. Flip the service switches to normal mode (both switches set to OFF).

14. Reconnect the cables to the imagePASS
• Connect the network cable between the imagePASS and the customer network.
• Connect the crossover Ethernet cable between the imagePASS and the printer.
NOTE:
Be sure to use the correct cable for each connection.
15. Make sure that the imagePASS power switch is in the ON (|) position.
