Replacing the Emergency
Stop Button
Attention! The voltage
indicator (lamp) next to the
emergency stop is fragile so
be careful when working with
the emergency stop
First see:
Opening the PP 490 (p.
124)
1� Unplug the connection from the
emergency stop button by using
a small Allen key and pull the
metal bridge up and unfold the
connection out at the same time�
2� Unplug the adapter to the
emergency stop bottom by using
a small Allen key, pull the metal
bridge up and at the same time
unfold the adapter out�
3� Remove the plastic screw-nut that
keeps the button in place� Use a
pin punch to release the nut�
4� Pull the button out�
5� Insert the new button� There are 3
indentation in front of the tread�
The biggest indentation should
point towards the can bus contact�
6� Set in the new button and fasten it
into place with the plastic screw-
nut� Make sure the new button is
seated correctly in the hole so that
water cannot leak into the chassis�
7� Insert the emergency stop bottom
adapter by placing the lower end
in position and fold in the adapter
until it clicks�
8� Insert the connection to the
emergency stop button by placing
the lower end in position and fold
in the connection until it clicks�
