SECTION 8—OPTIONS
S E C T I O N 8 — O P T I O N S
After ANY adjustments, repair, or service and BEFORE use, make sure all attaching
hardware is tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage may occur.
Make sure the detent pin and locking pins of the quick-release button are fully
released before operating the wheelchair. The locking pins MUST be protruding past
the inside of rear wheel hub for a positive lock. Keep locking pins clean.
Ensure both wheels are adjusted to the same mounting hole.

Installing Dual Handrim (DHR)
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 8.1.
1. Remove the rear wheel. Refer to Removing/Installing Rear Wheels paragraph.
2. Remove the nut and washer that secures the axle bracket to the wheel plate.
3. Align the DHR Axle bush with one of the adjustment holes on the wheel plate.
4. Secure the DHR axle bush to the wheel plate, at the desired height, with the nut and
washer (45 0/+5 Nm) with a 32 mm fixed spanner. Insert the wheel with the DHR
wheel axle into the DHR axle bracket.
Repeat STEPS 1 to 4 for the other rear wheel.

Insert the telescopic rear wheel shaft onto the end of the wheel axle to connect both
