combine compact, elegant styling
with rugged construction to fit a
variety of applications. Ideally suit-
ed for permanent installation in automo-
biles, trucks or boats, TOA's CA Series pro-
vides the basis for a small but powerful
vehicle PA system. The amplifiers' clean,
pure design compliments today's luxurious
vehicular and marine interiors. They are
also ideal for fixed installation use as a
stand-by, emergency paging amplifier.
To provide many options, the CA Series
offers three models in three separate power
outputs: the CA-200 at 20 Watts, the CA-
400DN at 40 Watts and the CA-600DN at
60 Watts. Each unit can be connected to a
single 8 ohm speaker or to two 4 ohm
speakers for wider coverage, such as to the
front and rear of a vehicle or boat. All input
jacks and controls are mounted on the front
panel for fast access and are user-friendly
to guarantee easy operation.
Every unit has two microphone inputs,
each with its own volume control, plus an
auxiliary line input for connecting a radio,
CA-200 & CA-400/600DN
tape player or other audio source. A slim-
line, hand-held, unidirectional paging
microphone comes with each unit and fea-
tures a lock-on/lock-off talk switch and a 6'
coiled cord. For quick access, the micro-
phone can hang conveniently near the
amplifier with the supplied mountable hold-
er. The DC power wiring is fitted with an in-
line fuse holder, making the fuse accessible
if excess current should cause it to blow.
To ensure security, a plug-in wiring har-
ness for the DC power and speaker con-
nections is included, allowing easy removal
of the amplifier from a vehicle. For perma-
nent, theft-resistant installation, the CA-
400DN and CA-600DN are fully compliant
with DIN standards for mounting in radio
"cut outs" on the dashboard or console of
most vehicles. These two models also
include a multi-hole suspension bracket to
firmly support the unit, particularly for
under dash mounting. All models come
supplied with a "U" mounting bracket and
machine screw hardware to facilitate instal-
lation in a variety of situations.
