Measuring Light: Metering

User Sets 1, 2, and 3 offer a choice of four metering
methods. (In User Set A, matrix metering is used).
The following options are available:
Option

Current metering method is indicated by icons in the control panel or, moni-
tor or viewfinder.
Spot metering exposure target
At a setting of Spot AF Area the

Best choice in most circumstances.
Ensures central subject will be cor-
rectly exposed regardless of back-
