Introduction About This Manual This document will describe the recommended procedure for installing a FINCH II Display. A Titan Logix system must be installed and operated in accordance with the details described in the Titan Logix manuals, application notes and all other relevant publications.
The FINCH II display may need to be programmed. Alarms are assigned to internal relay actions for flexible alarm annunciation and high-level shutdown. The factory settings are appropriate for most applications.

The terminal may be permanently connected to GND if this feature is not used. Power may be controlled by an optional brake air pressure switch when Anti- Lock Brake (ABS) power is used for the TD100 system.
These tests may also be used to confirm correct system operation after repair. Normal responses are indicated for each test. Proceed to troubleshooting if the test results differ from the ones shown. Multicompartment Failsafe Configuration (FINCH II-6W) The FINCH II-6W can monitor tank levels in real time for up to six compartments. (up to 5 compartments with RCM). The FINCH II-6W is shipped from factory preconfigured fail-safe for 6 compartments. This configuration can be changed using SensorLink.
USB to serial converter for the programming cable. All relay settings are permanently stored in the FINCH II and are reconfigurable at any time, in the shop or field using a laptop with SensorLink and the programming cable.
When power is applied to the FINCH display and TD100 transmitter, the TD100 will run through a 10 second, warm-up cycle. During the warm-up cycle the FINCH II will run its own tests, during which the FINCH display will show the current software revision number, followed by a display test consisting of all five digits and compartment number showing the values from 0 to 9 and A to F.

The digit flashes when the Auto Compartment Select feature has switched compartment displays due to an activated alarm. The FINCH II display will automatically jump to a compartment if any alarms are triggered on that Auto compartment. For example, if the display were monitoring tank 1 but the Fill alarm were to go off Compartment on compartment 2 then the display would jump automatically to compartment 2.

If the probe is installed on top of the riser, include the riser height in the Probe Offset distance (see Figure 4-4-2 - Probe Offset with Riser). In this case, the distance is measured from the bottom edge of the probe nut to the outer tank surface (and not the top of the Riser).

FINCH II Installation & Operation Manual TPM 010, Rev 7.0 4.6.4 High High Alarm The High High alarm (HH) volume is set when programming the TD100 transmitter. The High High is the maximum safe volume of the tank. It is set to a volume that is a minimum 2 ” below the Spill Level. This alarm can be assigned to the relays.
FINCH II Installation & Operation Manual TPM 010, Rev 7.0 Alarm Settings 4.7.1 Coax Probe Alarm Settings Diagrams The alarm level settings vary based on the combination of probe type and whether standard or performance mode. The performance mode offers more accuracy and is the recommended configuration.
5.1.1 Error Codes The TD100 constantly checks the system for errors. Detected errors are shown on the FINCH II display. These error codes assist in diagnosing and repairing the problems. E 80 through E 84 indicate an error caused by an incorrect strapping table or internal transmitter malfunction. For these errors, review the programming information, correct if necessary and reprogram the transmitter.
