IMPORTANT NOTE FOR GROUND COFFEE:
Note: Please clean milk frother and drip tray after use.

Coffee does NOT come out. | No water in reservoir. | Add water - do not overfill the MAX line. |
Coffee grind is too fine. | Only use medium to coarse ground coffee | |
Too much coffee is in the filter. | Fill filter with less ground coffee. | |
Appliance was not plugged in or turned on. | Plug unit into electrical outlet and turn it on. | |
Coffee has been compressed too much. | Refill filter basket with ground coffee - DO NOT compress. | |
Coffee comes out around the edge of the porta filter. | Porta filter is not rotated to full locked position. | Rotate filter holder to full locked position. |
Coffee ground around the filter basket rim. | Wipe off rim. | |
Too much coffee in the filter. | Do not overfill above the max line | |
Coffee grind is too fine. | Only use medium to coarse ground coffee | |
Milk is not foamy after frothing or its not coming out of the frothing tube. | Ran out of steam. | Ensure there is enough water in the reservoir. |
Milk is not cold enough. | Chill milk and frothing pitcher prior to frothing milk. Suggested temp for chilled milk is 40-50º F | |
Frothing tube is blocked. | Follow the instructions to clean frothing tube and milk reservoirs. | |
Coffee comes out too quickly. | Ground coffee is too coarse. | Use medium to coarse ground coffee but do not use fine ground coffee. |
Not enough coffee in filter. | Use more ground coffee, but do not overfill. | |
Coffee is too weak. | Using light blend k cups | For stronger coffee use dark blend k cups or espresso blend k cups. |
Ground coffee is too coarse. | Use a finer grind - but do not use fine ground coffee. | |
The machine is beeping twice. | Water tank is out of water. | Add water to reservoir - do not overfill the MAX line. |
The machine is beeping once. | The frothing chamber is not inserted properly. | Make sure the frothing chamber is positioned correctly into the unit. |
ON/OFF button flashes - other buttons are not working. | The unit is under pre-heating or standby mode | Wait patiently until it finishes. |
All LED lightings are flashing | The unit is in power saving mode | Press any button to re-start the unit. |
Steam is coming out of the steam release hole. | The unit is starting the cooling system as the unit has worked for continuous cycles. | Wait for the unit to cool down. |
Water is dripping out of the drip tray. | The drip tray is full of water. | Empty the drip tray immediately. |
Lots of hot water is coming out of the drip tray. | The screen filter is blocked. | Reduce the amount of ground coffee or try a coarser ground coffee. |
Only steams comes out when milk frothing. | There is a shortage of milk or milk nozzle is not well positioned. | Refill the milk tank with enough milk and check if the milk nozzle is in the correct position. |
The following table gives the suggested cleaning intervals:
Type of Water | Cleaning Frequency |
Soft Water (Filtered Water) | Every 80 Brew Cycle |
Hard Water (Tap Water) | Every 40 Brew Cycle |
