This OmniPL Retrofit Kit is compatible with all “P-4”, “PS-4”, and “PS-8” units. The HLXPROUPG is not compatible with “PS-16” although two kits could be installed (one in PS-16, one in the Expansion unit) to manage one pool.
Page 6 The current control’s configured equipment, timers and settings will be lost after replacing the main printed circuit board (mainboard) with the OmniPL Retrofit Kit mainboard. It’s important to capture all of this information before starting the installation. A worksheet is provided on the following pages to record all current settings.

Wiring the OmniPL Mainboard ECOMMAND: Because the ECOMMAND did not require a transformer, a Hayward GLXS3PLXFMR transformer must be purchased separately to power the OmniPL mainboard. Refer to the mounting instructions included with the GLXS3PLXFMR.

Requires use of a Hayward flow switch. This fea- ture will help protect the filter pump from damage due to no flow. When Yes is selected, the OmniPL will monitor the state of water flow when the filter pump is on.
