Water supply
Warning! Only fill the fresh water
tank from supplies that are clearly
designated as being of drinking water
quality.
– Only use tubes or containers permitted
for drinking water to fill the fresh water
tanks.
– Rinse the filling hose or container
thoroughly before use with drinking water
(2 to 3 times their capacity).
– Empty the filling hose or containers
completely after use and lock the openings
of the filling hose or container.
The following devices are supplied with
water from the fresh water tank:
– the tap beside the sink.
– the tap (hand tap) in the sanitary area.
– the toilet flush.
Fill opening for fresh water
The lockable fresh water fill opening is
located at the back left in the vehicle wall.
To open
– Turn the key in the tank lid by 180° to the
left.
– Squeeze in the tank lid (1), turn it to the
left and take it off.
Before filling you need to make sure that
the drainage valve of the fresh water tank is
closed – see page 63.
To close
– Put on the tank lid (1) and turn to the right.
– Turn the key in the tank lid by 180° to the
right.
The tank lid ought to be locked at all times
to be safe so that others cannot pour
something undesireable into the tank.
Operating instructions
– Still water in the fresh water tank or
water pipes becomes stale after a short
time. Therefore you should thoroughly
clean the water pipes and the fresh water
tank before each use of the vehicle. After
every use of the vehicle, empty the fresh
water tank and the water pipes completely.
– If not in use for more than a week,
disinfect the water system before using the
vehicle.
– As a precaution, carry sterilisation agents
(available in specialist camping shops and
pharmacies) when travelling abroad.
