4-2.Installation to the server
1.
Make sure the system power is off (System POWER LED off), then unplug the power cord from
both CPU/IO modules.
2.
Remove other cables from back of both CPU/IO modules.
3.
Remove the front bezel if necessary following the instructions in the User's Guide of the server.
4.
Pull out a CPU/IO module gently and carefully from chassis and then remove the top cover and
other components of the CPU/IO module if necessary following the instructions in the
Maintenance Guide of the server.
5.
Install this product in the PCI slot as following the instructions described in the Maintenance
Guide of the server.
6.
Replace the top cover and components removed in item 4.
7.
Install the CPU/IO module into chassis, and then install the front bezel.
8.
Connect the cables removed in item 2.
9.
Plug the power cord to both CPU/IO modules.
If the system power is on (System POWER LED on), shut down the operating
system and then unplug the power cord from both CPU/IO Modules.
The method of installing and removing the PCI card and the location of the PCI
slot differ in different servers. Please read the Maintenance Guide of the server for
confirmation.
If this product is not correctly connected to the PCI slot of the server, remove the
product and connect it again. Using excessive force can lead to damage.
When installing this product in the PCI slot of the other CPU/IO module, follow the
same procedure.
