The relief tubing is mounted the same way to the relief valve. Consider the directions of manufacturers re-
garding the suitability of material for several gases and pressures.
The cylinder regulator is available with hose nozzle when maximum pressure is 15 bar. Due to conical form
of the nozzle the hose easily fi ts.
Type TP, TPA, TPB, with inert gas purge valve
Cylinder regulator with inert gas purge valve (TP, TPA, TPB) must be equiped with an additional tubing at inert
gas purge valve inlet, as described above.
6.4. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR INITIAL START UP AND CYLINDER
CHANGING
•
The test protocols from the piping according to tightness and if necessary moisture and particles are
available
•
Process gas tubes, vent piping and purge gas tubing, safety valve and check valve tubing if existent is
connected
•
In process gas tubing is only standard gas ( see 1.2)
•
The start-up is only realized by qualifi ed personal
•
Wear safety clothes according to regulations
•
Use spark-free tools and provide before installation
•
Before fi rst start-up check type label, if the cylinder regulator is suitable for the provided purpose (gas,
pressure, material, etc.)
6.5. INITIAL START UP
•
All requirements are fulfi lled as on point 6.4
•
Cylinder regulator is depressurized, handwheel turned completely to left side
•
When using corrosive and/or toxic gases with stainless steel cylinder regulator version TP, TPA, TPB,
external gas purging needs to take place before initial startup (see point 6.5.2).
WARNING!
•
Make sure the cylinder regulator is not exposed to pressure levels that exceed their respective permissible
nominal pressure.
6.5.1. FILL THE PROCESS GAS TUBING WITH PROCESS GAS
Adjust pressure with handwheel turning clockwise. Cylinder Regulator is now in operation.
6.5.2. CYLINDER CHANGE
When using corrosive and/or toxic gases with stainless steel cylinder regulator version TP, TPA, TPB, external
gas purging needs to take place before cylinder change.
NOTE!
For external purge gas use dry, clean gas. We recommend using purge gas with a quality according to your
application.
WARNING!
•
During changing gas cylinders with toxic or corrosive gas consider personal safety provisions (breathing
protection, eye protection, protective clothes).
•
Consider MAK-values (see technical rules for hazardous material, TRGS 900), choose correct respirator
fi lter.
DANGER!
•
If the cylinder regulator is used with toxic and/ or corrosive gases, the component have to be purged with
inert purge gas (external gas purging with triple purge block). Therewith dangerous rest gas is removed
through purge gas tubing.
