· Press the ptt – button to confirm and return to stand – by mode
Call Tones
A call tone alerts others that you want to talk.
· Press the button (13) briefly. The call tone will be transmitted for 3 seconds on the set chan-
nel.
Monitor
You can use the MONITOR feature to check for weaker signals in the current channel
· Press and hold the MENU
channel monitoring .
· Press the MENU – button (14) to stop monitoring .
Channel Scan
CHANNEL SCAN performs searches for active signals in an endless loop form channel 1 to 8
including.
· Press the – button (19) and the MENU – button (14)
at the same time briefly to start scanning
· Release the buttons .
· When an active signal (one of 8 channels ) is detected,
CHANNEL SCAN pauses and you will hear the active signal
· Press the PTT – button to communicate through
the active signal channel
OR
· Press the MENU – button (14) to deactivate channel scan
OR
· Press the – button (19) or the
bypass the current channel and continue to search
for another active channel .

Button Lock

· Press and hold the - button for 3 seconds to activate
the BUTTON LOCK mode . The BUTTON LOCK icon
is displayed on the LCD Screen.
· Press and hold the - button again for 3 seconds
to deactivate BUTTON LOCK.

Display backlight

To activate the backlight of the LCD display press a button briefly.
The LCD backlight will light for 5 seconds
