4. INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

A. TOOLS REQUIRED
S Conventional woodworking tools
S Arc pliers or 14" pipe wrench
S Rule
S Level
S Safety shoes
S Safety glasses
S Square
S Screwdriver
S Pliers
S Utility knife
S Tin snips
S Drill with an assortment of bits and a hole cutting
attachment
S Two 7/16" wrenches
S Putty knife
C. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
Check the roughing-in and room dimensions to provide
adequate available space for the bath unit.
One-piece shower modules are too large to fit through
standard door openings. Therefore, the multi-piece
modules are designed to be separated into sections for
moving into the installation area. Once near the
installation area, reassemble the module and position it
within the installation area framework prior to completion
of the framing.

B. MATERIALS REQUIRED
S Plumbers putty
S Wall coverings, as necessary
S 2x4's
S 2x6's (if additional grab bars are to be installed)
S Drop cloth
S #6 large-head galvanized nails or #8 x 1" sheet
metal screws
S 2" masking tape
S Clear silicone sealant
NOTE: Clear silicone sealant is a superior product to
ensure against leaks. Use of acrylic or other caulks is not
recommended.
D. NEW OR REPLACEMENT INSTALLATION
REQUIREMENTS
This unit can be installed in new or existing bathrooms.
For new installations: Position the plumbing according
to the roughing-in on Page 4. Cap the supplies, and
check for leaks.
For replacement installations: Remove the old bath.
Remove the old wall material, and remove any old floor
covering from the area. Remove any old plumbing that
does not conform to roughing-in requirements.
