I have the Simrad RS40 and trying to reset it after buying the boat used and enter my new MMSI myself. Done the DSC setup, nada, entered code 2137, nada, entered new MMSI numbers nada, got to factory reset and says Enter, nada, pressed the big Enter button nada

You cannot reset the Simrad RS40 or enter a new MMSI number yourself once it has been entered. If the MMSI number is incorrect or needs to be changed, you must take the radio to a Simrad dealer. Only authorized service can reset or change the MMSI number.
