Unable to screw the cam lock into the sides of the unit. They seem too small, and if I force it to screw in the wood may be damaged. Maybe you can help me out with this problem.
To properly install the cam lock on the Simpli Home Amherst AXCAMH09-BL without damaging the wood:
1. Insert the cam lock pins into the pre-drilled holes on each side panel (AL and AR).
2. Align the cam lock pins with the guide holes on the middle shelf (D) and attach the shelf.
3. Insert the cam locks into the guide holes on the middle shelf (3 on each side).
4. Use a flathead screwdriver to turn and secure the cam locks. Do not use excessive force.
This prevents over-tightening and protects the wood from damage.
